Cardinals Spotlight

The Arizona Cardinals were just slapped around against the Carolina Panthers last week, getting stomped by 24 points and failing to cover as 7-point favorites. They’ll continue without Kyler Murray behind the helms, while Colt McCoy is dealing with a pectoral injury. Offensively on the road, the Cardinals rank 3rd in points per game, 10th in pass yards, 3rd in rush yards, and 11th in yards per play. On the defensive side on the road, the Cardinals rank 3rd in points allowed, 13th in pass yards allowed, 8th in rush yards allowed, and 15th in yards per play.

Seahawks Spotlight

The Seattle Seahawks were just blanked by the Green Bay Packers last week, while putting up only 208 yards of offense. In their defense, it was Russell Wilson’s first game back after missing a couple games with a finger injury. The Seahawk’s offense at home ranks 19th in points per game, 21st in pass yards, 29th in rush yards, and 18th in yards per play. Defensively at home, the Seahawks rank 5th in points allowed, 28th in pass yards allowed, 25th in rush yards allowed, and 18th in yards per play.

Final Say

Seattle has gone just 1-4 SU in their last five games at home, while they’ll face an Arizona team that has gone 5-1 ATS in their last six games in Seattle. The Cardinals have also gone 6-2 ATS in their last eight games, and 5-0 ATS in their last five games on the road. The underdog has been a profitable back in this series, going 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 meetings, while the road team is 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 meetings. With all of that being said, the Cardinals will be without their best player in Murray, while it sounds like Colt McCoy won’t be 100% for this outing. The Seahawks have found some defense lately, giving up just 12 points per game in their last three games, while the Cardinals are giving up 25 points per game during that span. Also, the Seahawks have been playing solid football lately, going 4-2 ATS in their last six games. I’ll take Russ and a hot defense over McCoy and a cold defense any day of the week.

Pick: Seattle Seahawks -2.5
