The Carolina Panthers are starting to get a nice big dose of the Sam Darnold the Jets were happy to part with prior to the season.  For the first three games against weak, shitty teams, it appeared to be working.  That fool's gold has now shown the true colors and the Panthers’ offense has suffered.

Carolina defensive numbers have steadily gotten worse since the first three games, all wins, and that makes sense when you consider the level of their competition has been better.  Last week was the exception... Giants suck and they throttled the Panthers.  It was among the most thorough beatings of the week.

The Atlanta Falcons defense has kept them winning more as the offense has made enough plays, including a rally after choking the lead last week.  Ryan, while old and rather predictable can still get his team up the field if given time... any kind of running game helps him immensely.

Final Say

Division game, Panthers on the skids losing 4 straight, and the Falcons back home at .500 following their road win at Miami... I like the fact that Falcons have not done well this season making any kind of number as a favorite.  That keeps this number in line with the books, suggesting these two are equal and the 3-point home field advantage is the separator... think there is more meat on this bone and the Falcons show it at home on Sunday.  ATLANTA 27 Carolina 17.
