Bears Spotlight

The Chicago Bears have dropped three straight, where they’ve averaged just 13 points per game during that span. Their lack of offense has obviously been affecting their defense negatively as they are giving up 31 points per game during this current losing streak. The Bears have gone 6-3 SU in their last nine games versus the Steelers, while they have reeled off three straight against them, but the problem with that is they haven’t faced each other since 2017. On the road, the Bears rank 31st in points per game, 32nd in pass yards per game, and 16th in rush yards per game.

Steelers Spotlight

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reeled off three straight victories, after losing three straight games. Their most recent victory was an impressive one, with them traveling to Cleveland and upsetting them as 5-point underdogs. Pittsburgh’s offensive line and rushing attack started out slow this season, averaging 55 rush yards per game in their first four games, but in their last three games, they are averaging 127 rush yards per game. This has been a big ingredient for the Steeler’s style of play as it allows them to run many plays and control the clock and tempo of the game as at home they rank 8th in plays per game and 7th in time on the field.

Final Say

The Bears have gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with the Steelers, but they are bringing a rookie quarterback into Pittsburgh in a Prime Time matchup. The Steelers have the ingredients to dominate this game, where they can run the football against a defense that ranks 26th in rush yards allowed per game on the road, while the Steelers defense at home ranks 9th in time on the field and 4th in number of plays, so don’t expect too many long drives from the Bears. This is two teams going in different directions, while this game probably means more to the Steelers than the Bears at this point. Lay the touchdown and back the home faves in Prime Time.

Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -7
