Game Spotlight

The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens may have done the UNC Wilmington Seahawks a huge favor by taking out top-seed Towson last night… meanwhile, Wilmington fought to the buzzer to squeeze past Charleston to stand on the verge of a return trip to the Big Dance.

Wilmington is playing well, has won five straight games, and have an ATS resume that rivals the best in the country. In the game following a straight up win, Wilmington is 15-3 ATS, and in games following an ATS win they are 16-6 ATS… those are HUGE numbers and we need them to hold up one more day in the Colonial. 

Delaware is not much of a covering team, and have not been at any point of the season. They are 6-4 SU in their last 10 games, so they had some bumps coming down the stretch. In the game following a SU win, the Blue Hens are a miserable 6-13 ATS and not much better in games following an ATS win going 4-9 ATS.

Final Say

These two have played a pair of close games into the 60s this season, so I would expect they would battle to the bitter end for a Big Dance invitation tonight. Going with the hotter team, better track record of making numbers, and look for Wilmington to leave DC with a punched ticket in tow waiting for Sunday to hear their next destination.
