Chiefs Spotlight

The Kansas City Chiefs just reeled off their sixth-straight win in blowout fashion over the depleting Las Vegas Raiders, covering the spread for a fourth-straight time. On the road, the Chief’s offense ranks 11th in points per game, 1st in pass yards, 20th in rush yards, and 1st in yards per play. Defensively on the road, the Chiefs rank 8th in points allowed, 24th in pass and rush yards allowed, and 30th in yards per play.

Chargers Spotlight

The Los Angeles Chargers just won their second straight, this time against the lowly New York Giants, covering the spread as 9-point favorites. At home, the Charger’s offense ranks 3rd in points per game, 5th in pass yards, 8th in rush yards, and 2nd in yards per play. Defensively at home, the Chargers rank 28th in points allowed, 13th in pass yards allowed, 28th in rush yards allowed, and 14th in yards per play.

Final Say

The Chiefs have finally been profitable for bettors lately, going 4-1 ATS in their last five games, while going 4-0 ATS in their last four games as favorites. They have also gone 13-3 SU in their last 16 games on the road. The Chargers have been dominated by the Chiefs where they are just 3-12 SU in their last 15 meetings, and 0-6 SU in their last six at home against them, although the Chargers have a win over the Chiefs from earlier this season. The Chiefs have been one of the hottest teams in the league, and although Mahomes is the shit, their defense has been the real story, giving up just 9.6 points per game in their last five games, while the Chiefs own a +11 turnover differential during that span! This is a huge game for both teams, but the Chiefs have been too hot to not back at the moment, and they’ll have revenge on their minds, plus I love teams winning the turnover battle. Back the road team in this spot.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs -3
