Giants Spotlight

The New York Giants most recent game was a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, while covering the spread as home underdogs. They’ll be coming into this game fresh off the bye week. On the road, the Giant’s offense ranks 27th in points per game, 5th in pass yards, 23rd in rush yards, and 2nd in yards per play. Defensively on the road, the Giants have been pretty bad ranking 14th in points allowed, 29th in pass and rush yards allowed, and 27th in yards per play.

Buccaneers Spotlight

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dropped their second-straight game last week, this time to the Washington Football Team, failing to cover the 10-point spread in the process. The Buccaneers offense has been one of the best at home, ranking 2nd in points per game, 1st in pass yards, 12th in rush yards, and 1st in yards per play. Defensively at home, the Buccaneers rank 2nd in points allowed, 27th in pass yards allowed, 2nd in rush yards allowed, and 11th in yards per play.

Final Say

Tampa Bay has been a tough out at home, going 7-0 SU in their last seven there. Their problem though, is they haven’t been playing highly competitive football, going just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. New York has been owning this series too, going 7-2 SU in their last nine versus the Buccaneers, while going 4-0-1 ATS in their last five against them, and 5-0 ATS in their last five in Tampa. The Giants are also 4-2 ATS in their last six games, and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games on the road! In the Giant’s last two games they own a +3 turnover differential, compared to the Buccaneers -3 differential. The Giant’s defense hasn’t been great on the road, but they’ve given up an average of 13 points per game in their last three games, so they are playing well right now. That gives me confidence they can keep this a single-digit game. Back the hotter team here.

Pick: New York Giants +11
