The Utah Jazz continue collect Ws as they just won their fourth-straight game, this time to a solid Cleveland Cavaliers team, but they did fail to cover as 5-point favorites. Offensively on the road, the Jazz rank 6th in points per game, 12th in field goal percentage, and 15th in 3-point shooting. Defensively on the road the Jazz has been one of the best where they rank 3rd in points allowed, 5th in field goal percentage, and 2nd in 3-point shooting and rebounding.

Timberwolves Spotlight

The Minnesota Timberwolves just dropped their third straight game, this time to the Atlanta Hawks as 2-point home favorites. At home, the Timberwolve’s offense ranks 22nd in points per game, 28th in field goal percentage, and 18th in 3-point shooting. Defensively at home, the Timberwolves have been one of the best where they rank 5th in points allowed, 3rd in field goal percentage, 7th in 3-point shooting, and 28th in rebounding. 

Final Say

Minnesota had found themselves on a tear going 8-4 ATS in their last 12 games, but have gone just 2-4 ATS in their last six games.  Utah hasn’t been profitable either going 2-4 ATS in their last six, but have least gone 5-1 SU during that span. They’ve also lost their last two ATS, but it was against Eastern Conference opponents, but the Jazz come to play against the West, winning nine of their last 11 against them. The Jazz have also been profitable in Minnesota where they’ve gone 13-5 ATS in their last 18 trips there. The Timberwolves will be without Russell and Towns is questionable. For Vegas to open the Jazz up as 8.5-point road faves says they don’t have too much confidence in Towns health. Both teams are on a different trajectory, so I’m going to roll with the team winning basketball games.
