Giants Spotlight
The New York Giants just picked up a big win over their division rival the Philadelphia Eagles, despite being 4-point underdogs. Oddly enough, the Giant’s aren’t out of the playoff hunt just yet, so there should still be plenty of optimism for this team. Offensively on the road, the Giants rank 27th in points per game, 10th in pass yards, 24th in rush yards, and 12th in yards per play. On the defensive side it hasn’t been too pretty as they rank 21st in points allowed, 30th in pass yards allowed, 27th in rush yards allowed, and 27th in yards per play.
Dolphins Spotlight
The Miami Dolphins continue their turnaround, winning their fourth straight game, this time against the Carolina Panthers at home, where somehow the Panthers were favored. This now makes it four in a row ATS wins for the Dolphins as well. Offensively at home, the Dolphins rank 22nd in points per game, 21st in pass yards per game, 31st in rush yards per game, and 32nd in yards per play. Defensively at home they’ve been better, ranking 11th in points allowed, 8th in pass yards allowed, 6th in rush yards allowed, and 3rd in yards per play.
Final Say
The Dolphins have been on a torrid pace, and have been competitive at home going 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games there, but that Giant’s front seven is going to give this abysmal Dolphin’s offense fits all game. They don’t have a rush game to rely on, and it will force them to pass, and the Dolphins may have a +4 turnover differential during their win streak, but the Giants have a +5 during that span, so they’ve been playing opportunistic defense to put their offense in better field positions. This game will also feature Mike Glennon at the helm for the Giants, which could be seen as an upgrade over Daniel Jones. The Giants are 7-1 SU in their last eight against the Dolphins, while winning their last three meetings by an average of 9-points per game. The Giants have also been just as profitable as the Dolphins, going 4-1 ATS in their last five games, and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as underdogs getting less than 7-points. Even if Miami gets the win, I don’t expect it to be by more than three points.
Pick: New York Giants +4
