The Chicago Bulls are coming off a tough road loss in Portland in which they led for most of the game until a late collapse followed, and then they even failed to cover the 3.5-point spread. Offensively on the road, the Bulls offense ranks 16th in points per game, 1st in field goal percentage, and 4th in 3-point shooting. On the defensive side on the road, the Bulls rank 9th in points allowed, 9th in field goal percentage, 13th in 3-point shooting, and 8th in rebounding.
Nuggets Spotlight
The Denver Nuggets just dropped their second-straight game last night, this time to a depleted Philadelphia 76ers squad as they beat them by 14 points on their home court. The Nuggets offense at home hasn’t been good where they rank 24th in points per game, 17th in field goal percentage, and 27th in 3-point shooting. Defensively at home though, the Nuggets have been one of the best where they rank 1st in points allowed, 11th in field goal percentage, 2nd in 3-point shooting, and 7th in rebounding.
Final Say
This will be Chicago’s 5th straight road game in the last week, but they’ve been competitive in their last three games and should be 3-0 ATS during that span if it weren’t for a late-game collapse. During that span they’ve shot nearly 49% from the field and have sinked a total of 39 3-pointers. The Nuggets have been catching fire lately though, going 4-2 ATS in their last six game, and 6-1 SU in their last seven games at home. They have also won three straight versus the Bulls, winning by an average of 14 points per game. The Bulls have been good on the road, but are probably eager at this point to head home, and not head to Denver and face a Nuggets squad that is 7-2 SU at home. Not to mention that the Bulls are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 trips to Denver. I’m expecting the Nuggets to come out focused tonight after last nights debacle and do what they do best, play defense. Lay the points and back the home team.
