Panthers Spotlight 

The Panthers are coming off a disappointing 87-77 loss to UMBC and have not played well so far.  Offensively, Pittsburgh is terrible.  The Panthers play one of the slowest tempos in the nation and only score 62.2 points per game ranking 325th, and only attempts 50 shots a game making 43.67%, both ranking towards the bottom.  On defense, the Panthers are mediocre totaling 34.0 rebounds per game on average, and allowing 69.5 points per game ranking them 206th.

These teams both play a deliberate slow style of basketball, but the Gophers do it better. Typically, Pittsburgh plays tough defense, but that is not the case this year.  The Panthers are bad across the board.  The Gophers are 43rd in the nation in scoring allowed.  Minnesota has the best player on the court in Jamison Battle, and will outscore the pitiful Panthers offense. Gophers win a low scoring game.
