Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will try to retain his title as he takes on former interim champion Colby Covington in a rematch of UFC 245.

Usman Spotlight:

Usman is an excellent wrestler with a well rounded game and improved mixed martial arts. Usmans biggest attribute is his power. He has successfully defended his title three times since beating Covington, with a victory over Gilbert Burns and a pair of victories over Jorge Masvidal all by TKO/KO.

Covington Spotlight: 

Covington has fought only once since his last fight with Usman, winning by TKO over former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Covington dominated Woodley before the fight was stopped in the final round. Prior to his loss to Usman, Covington defeated ex-champions Robbie Lawler, Rafael dos Anjos and Demian Maia.

Final Say:

Usman has the longest winning streak in the UFC with 14 fights. Look for that streak to continue. “The Nigerian Nightmare” has only gotten better since his first bout with Covington, where Usman broke his jaw. I see Usman eventually catching Covington with a big punch and finish him with his killer instinct.
