Spurs Spotlight
The San Antonio Spurs just dropped their fourth-straight game, this time losing to the Houston Rockets as 7.5-point favorites. Offensively at home, the Spurs rank 3rd in points per game, 4th in field goal percentage, and 6th in 3-point shooting. Defensively at home, the Spurs rank 29th in points allowed, 29th in field goal percentage, 27th in 3-point shooting, and 24th in rebounding.
Final Say
Cleveland is coming off a close outing with the Kings and a nice blowout victory against the Jazz in Utah, which is never an easy feat. Thats a big win for any team, and now must travel and play in their fifth-straight road game. The Cavaliers haven’t been profitable lately, going 2-7 ATS in their last nine games, while they are just 5-15 SU in their last 20 meetings with the Spurs. The Spurs are going to be desperate to snap their four-game skid, especially after coming off an embarrassing loss to the Rockets, despite being 7.5-point favorites. They have also played well at home against teams with winning road records, going 4-1-1 ATS in their last six instances. I’ll gladly take the free points and back the home dogs in this spot.
Pick: San Antonio Spurs +3.5
