The Iowa State Cyclones have lost two straight games…both of them conference road games, but they did manage to make the number in one of those losses. No real shame, par for the course, and now they come home seeking to right the ship and get the W. This set up has been one of my personal favorites for a number of years…Saturday home conference game following a pair of road conference losses. Iowa State is 2-0 ATS as a home dog and they are 6-1 ATS as an underdog. The Texas Longhorns come in here off a nice SU and ATS home conference win over the Oklahoma Sooners, and that in turn helps out the value of the spread as well.
Final Say
The Cyclones in a classic winning set up will seek to grind out the visiting Longhorns who were beat back with relative ease by Oklahoma State in their last attempt on the road. Texas’ average road margin is -4 and I see Iowa State handing it to them here on Saturday.
