On the road, the Lion’s offense ranks 30th in points per game, 27th in pass yards, 6th in rush yards, and 21st in yards per play. Defensively on the road, the Lions rank 18th in points allowed, 14th in pass yards allowed, 24th in rush yards allowed, and 22nd in yards per play.
Seahawks Spotlight
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a rough loss to the Chicago Bears despite being 7-point favorites. At home, the Seahawk’s offense ranks 16th in points per game, 26th in pass yards, 22nd in rush yards, and 16th in yards per play. Defensively at home, the Seahawks rank 13th in points allowed, 31st in pass yards allowed, 13th in rush yards allowed, and 17th in yards per play.
Final Say
Detroit has been hot against the number lately going 6-1 ATS in their last seven games, but they haven’t been able to win games on the road going 0-8-1 SU in their last nine games. They also are just 1-7 SU in their last eight games in Seattle. Seattle has been in miserable form lately, and they haven’t played well at home going 2-6 SU in their last eight games there. This time around though, the Seahawks are the better team, and Wilson isn’t going to lie down in this one, while Coach Pete Carroll cannot willfully drop this game considering it would increase Wilson’s chances of leaving next season. Also, with the Lions kicking a field goal on 4th and goal down seven late in the fourth quarter against the Falcons, it’s obvious they aren’t playing to win games anymore, quite the opposite, which is why I think Vegas made a struggling Seahawks team touchdown favorites in this spot. The home team is 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings, and the Seahawks should be prevalent in this one with the better quarterback.
