Seminoles Spotlight
The Florida State Seminoles just picked up a nice road victory against the N.C. State Wolfpack, but failed to cover the 3-point spread in the process. Offensively on the road, the Seminoles rank 116th in points per game, 33rd in field goal percentage, and 39th in 3-point shooting. Defensively on the road, the Seminoles rank 114th in points allowed, 179thth in field goal percentage, 208th in 3-point shooting, and 100th in rebounding.
Demon Deacons Spotlight
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons just dropped their second-straight road game, this time to the Miami Hurricanes. Offensively at home, the Demon Deacons rank 106th in points per game, 140th in field goal percentage, and 216th in 3-point shooting. Defensively at home, the Demon Deacons rank 260th in points allowed, 222nd in field goal percentage, 161st in 3-point shooting, and 224th in rebounding.
Final Say
After dropping three-straight, Florida State has rebounded nicely pulling off two-straight victories with a solid road win against N.C. State. They didn’t cover as 3-point favorites against N.C. State, but it was promising to see them go on the road and pull out a close one, and they should be feeling good about that. Wake Forest could be starting to feel the burn of ACC play, dropping two straight road games to Miami and Louisville, and now don’t carry much momentum into this meeting with Florida State. Florida State is the more battle-tested team thus far, where their strength of schedule ranks 55th overall, while Wake Forest’s ranks 278th overall. Florida State has gone 10-4 ATS in their last 14 versus Wake Forest, while they’ve gone 4-1 SU in their last five visits to Winston-Salem. Florida State has also won nine of their last 10 meetings with Wake Forest, and I like that trend to continue tonight.
Pick: Florida State Seminoles +1.5
