Patriots Spotlight

The New England Patriots keep racking up wins with their sixth-straight victory coming against the Tennessee Titans, while covering the 7-point spread in the process. Offensively on the road, the Patriot’s offense ranks 14th in points per game, 30th in pass yards, 9th in rush yards, and 27th in yards per play. On the defensive side, the Patriots have been one of the best on the road where they rank 1st in points allowed, 3rd in pass yards allowed, 8th in rush yards allowed, and 6th in yards per play.

Bills Spotlight

The Buffalo Bills got things back on track against the New Orleans Saints after an embarrassing loss at home to the Indianapolis Colts. The Bills sport an explosive offense at home where they rank 13th in points per game, 8th in pass yards, 9th in rush yards, and 13th in yards per play. Defensively, the Bills play some of the best defense at home where they rank 3rd in points allowed, 1st in pass yards allowed, 12th in rush yards allowed, and 2nd in yards per play.

Final Say

New England has been on fire lately, winning six-straight, while going 6-0 ATS. They’ve also been dominating this series where they’ve gone 15-4 SU in their last 19 versus Buffalo, while going an amazing 14-3 ATS in their last 17 trips to Buffalo. The Bills though, have been profitable as well, going 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games overall, while they’ve been a tough out at home, winning 10 of their last 12 there. The Bills are also 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games versus an AFC East opponent, and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against the Patriots. Both teams are sporting a top-five defense, so attention needs to be averted to the offensive side where you can tell which team has a rookie quarterback under center, and who has an All-Star under center. The Bill’s top-notch pass defense is going to be a factor against the Patriots 30th ranked pass offense, as it should make things harder on the Patriot’s 9th rank rushing attack. Which means pressure on a rookie quarterback, on the road, in prime time. The Bills have been tormented long enough by the Patriots, expect them to be extra motivated to not fall back into the little brother role in this division. It’s already tough to win five-straight road games in the NFL, now the odds further stack against the Patriots to pull off six-straight road victories. Roll with the home faves to handle their divisional foe.

Pick: Buffalo Bills -2.5
