The Portland Trailblazers continue their free-fall, losing their third-straight game, this time to the Los Angeles Clippers as 4.5-point underdogs. Offensively on the road, the Trailblazers rank 18th in points per game, 21st in field goal percentage, and 25th in 3-point shooting. On the defensive side on the road, the Trailblazers have been putrid as they rank 29th in points allowed, 30th in field goal percentage and 3-point shooting, and 8th in rebounding.
Warriors Spotlight
The Golden State Warriors just keep handling business with their most recent victory coming against the Orlando Magic, while they covered the spread as 16-point favorites. At home the Warriors have been one of the best where their offense ranks 3rd in points per game and 2nd in field goal percentage and 3-point shooting. Defensively at home they’ve been just as good as their defense ranks 2nd in points allowed and field goal percentage, 4th in 3-point shooting, and 3rd in rebounding.
Final Say
Portland is struggling mightily hard at the moment for bettors going 1-6 SU and ATS, while going 1-12 ATS in their last 13 games on the road. They’ve also gone 2-18 SU in their last 20 trips to San Francisco. Golden State on the other hand continues to be the best and most profitable team in the NBA. They’ve gone 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games, while going 12-1 SU in their last 13 games at home. This obviously seems like a spot to jump on the Warriors, especially since Lillard and McCollum will miss this game, and as perception will have it, the public loves the Warriors here. Vegas knows this and doesn’t want to lose money on the Warriors. And will the Warriors really go full throttle with a road trip right after this game. The Trailblazers have more motivation in this spot than the Warriors do, and Vegas just may leave their footprint on this one when its all said and done. Grab all them free points as I don’t see the Warriors covering a double-digit spread for a second time in a row.
