The Sacramento Kings just dropped their second straight game, where the Los Angeles Lakers took revenge on the Kings after they beat them a couple games earlier. The Kings have been a scoring machine on the road where they rank 1st in points per game, and 20th in field goal percentage and 3-point shooting. Defensively on the road, the Kings rank 28th in points allowed, 20th in field goal percentage, 6th in 3-point shooting, and 29th in rebounding.

Clippers Spotlight

The Los Angeles Clippers continued their slump, this time losing to the lowly New Orleans Pelicans, while failing to cover the 7-point spread. Offensively at home, the Clippers rank 23rd in points per game, 19th in field goal percentage, and 18th in 3-point shooting. Their defense has been more respectable at home as they rank 7th in points allowed, 4th in field goal percentage, 3rd in 3-point shooting, and 17th in rebounding. 

Final Say

Neither team has been in good form lately where the Clippers are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games, while the Kings are just 2-6 SU in their last eight road games. The Clippers have been dominating this series winning 12 of their last 15 games against the Kings, and 14 of their last 20 games at home against them. They’ve also gone 10-3 ATS in their last 13 meetings, but this time around it doesn’t feel right backing a slumping team to cover an 8.5-point spread against the number one scoring offense on the road. The Clippers may get the win, but I’ll grab the free points in this spot.
