Cowboys Spotlight
The Dallas Cowboys come into this one one a two-game skid with their most recent loss came to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving as 7-point favorites. On the road the Cowboys rank 22nd in points per game, 2nd in passing yards, 19th in rushing yards, and 7th in yards per play. Defensively on the road, the Cowboys rank 7th in points allowed, 28th in pass yards allowed, 8th in rush yards allowed, and 29th in yards per play.
Saints Spotlight
The New Orleans Saints just dropped their fourth straight game, this time to the Buffalo Bills as 7-point underdogs. At home, the Saints offense ranks 12th in points per game, 27th in passing yards, 8th in rushing yards, and 25th in yards per play. On the defensive side at home, the Saints rank 14th in points allowed, 32nd in pass yards allowed, 8th in rush yards allowed, and 29th in yards per play.
Final Say
New Orleans has been owning this series going 10-3 SU in their last 13 against Dallas, while being profitable as well, going 10-4 ATS in their last 14 overall and 8-1 ATS in their last nine at home against them. The problem is the Saints have been struggling with Trevor Siemian under center, going 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS with him at quarterback. They’ve also gone just 2-4 ATS in their last six home games. The Cowboys on the other hand have been solid on the road going 4-1 ATS in their last five trips, while they’ve been profitable overall lately, going 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games. This is a big game for both teams, but in a game of this magnitude I look towards quarterbacks and the Cowboys have the better quarterback. Also, head coach Mike McCarthy will be missing this game due to Covid, so the Cowboys can use that as a little motivation as well. Roll with the Cowboys in this spot.
Pick: Dallas Cowboys -4.5
